Pop-punk fans are about to get the thrill of a lifetime at the release of a new split 7” decades in the making!

Laramie, Wyoming’s Teenage Bottlerocket and Portsmouth, New Hampshire’s The Queers are inarguably two of the most popular and influential pop-punk bands of their respective generations, and each one has a solid claim to being near the top of those lists, all-time. So it’s something of a  wonder, with literal decades of touring & playing together, and mutual influence & respect between these two giants of the genre, that the thought of a split record has never occurred to anyone. Or if it has, it’s never come to fruition.

Well, the worldwide legions of fans of both bands need wonder no more, because the Teenage Bottlerocket / The Queers split 7” is finally a reality, brought to you by Pirates Press Records and Rad Girlfriend Records.

And as if that weren’t sufficient excitement, each band, both of whom are known for their covers (each band has recorded at least a full album’s worth and then some) will be putting their own spin of one of the signature songs from the other’s catalog!

Teenage Bottlerocket take on “Teenage Bonehead” by The Queers, while The Queers re-interpret Teenage Bottlerocket’s “Blood Bath at Burger King” as “Hog Log at Burger King.”
