To celebrate the recent return of beloved Chicago punk rock ’n rollers Downtown Struts - and the 15th anniversary of their debut EP Sail the Seas Dry - Pirates Press Records is re-pressing a few of their most essential early records!

After showing the world their talent for punk & Americana-influenced songcraft on Sail the Seas Dry, Downtown Struts had built up quite a bit of anticipation for their first full length album, and the result - Victoria! - was the sound of a promise fulfilled.

Originally released on the heels of the band's third US tour, it builds on the strengths of their debut record while leveling up in every aspect thanks in no small part to the time spent on the road honing their sound - not to mention collecting life experiences that end up infused in the lyrics.

This is very much a road album. Geographical reference points and the imagery of travel are shot through many of the band's best-loved anthems, including "Back To NY," "Lost in America," and "Postcards." The songs on Victoria! remain among the most enduringly popular of the band's diverse career, earning accolades from members of Face To Face and Cock Sparrer, among others!
